Straight Bar for Quick-Lock Dumbbell Plates

Unfortunately this bar didn’t work for me. Really wanted to like it as I was looking to add some barbell work at home. The handle and knurling was way too thin and I’m only 5’9 not the largest hands. When I added fat gripz to the bar it felt much better showing that the bar needed to be larger to in diameter. But the other issue for me was that it just takes too long to add plates and then spin the collar on. It can take up to 10-15 turns for n the collar sometimes to lock in the plates kind of stunting the workout flow a bit. And its actually noisy when doing so. Wanted to like this but unfortunately won’t suit my needs but maybe it can work for others.

I already owned the dumbell set with the quick lock system, which are great. This bar complements those well. The same weights fit on this bar tightly creating a solid feeling bar. Not the same quick lock system, but it works well. The bar itself is solidly made. As another reviewer noted, it has a different spinner lock system, but works well. The bar is thinner than the grip on the dumbells, but not too small (I normally wear a size L in gloves). Yes, it's not the size/length of an Olympic bar, but I wasn't wanting that. This bar fits in a smaller home gym well and will provide years of use. \r\n\r\nOverall, a good product and nice addition to their dumbells.

I have had the iron master setup for years and finally added the straight bar to the gym. The spinner locks on it arent quick as other reviewers have stated. I have ordered a set of rubber 1 inch quick lock off of amazon to fix this. I prefer this to just a regular 1 in straight bar you can get off of amazon because of the additional end caps that are welded to the bar stop the square weights from rotating. It does what it is supposed to. just buy some 12 dollar quick clamps and your issue is done and then if you really need to clamp down you have the spinner ones as well.
