It works ok, I have it on carpet and seems to hold well. Not sure about having bent handles vs having a straight bar, but I do like the inner bars to really give the arm and shoulders a good workout. I think the grip areas are on the small side for guys.

I added pull ups to my routine with this purchase and it works great!

This works great and it saved floor space versus a dedicated chin up bar. Economical too.

Very solid and stable. Well built and easy to install, very impressed!

Well constructed, saves me the floor space that a dedicated piece of equipment would take up. I had hoped to use it for pullups immediately but to my dismay I was unable to complete even a single pullup. I am still glad I bought it. It will be here waiting for me when I actually am able to do a couple of reps or more......

I am 6’3”, 205 pounds. I am able to complete pull-ups fully extended. Exactly what I wanted for my apartment. The front of the bench can raise slightly when my form fails due to my height and weight but it is never not safe. It will never fall over. Any raising is easily countered by setting a dumbbell on the front feet. I will note that mine came had the shiny outer layer peeling off. This is gym equipment so I don’t care but it was slightly annoying. Also, it is a large attachment so finding a place to store it can be difficult in small spaces so you may want the Wall Organizer accessory.

Surprisingly solid and stable. Well built and easy to install. Just need to watch out for overhead fixtures, like ceiling fans, when setting it upright. Right now I just hang there, but I’m sure it will remain stable if I ever am able to do some pull ups!

One of the reasons I purchased the Super Bench Pro was because of the variety of attachments that were available, but especially the Chin Up Bar. Previously, I had a free-standing unit that took up a lot of floor space. This attachment freed up that space. I am very happy with how easily and quickly it attaches to the bench (once you get the hang of it) so that it can be attached or removed in the middle of a workout, if you need the bench in another position for a different exercise, very quickly. Besides chin ups and pull ups I am happy that the unit is sturdy enough that I am also able to do hanging leg raises. And when not in use, the attachment "disappears" into a corner of the room. This attachment, like the Super PRO Bench, has performed better than I expected it to. Fits my needs perfectly.

This chin up bar is strong, fairly priced, easily assembled, and works well for the Super Bench.

I had the original Pull up attachment from 2007. I feel this one is much better. I love having the palms facing angle and I swear even the leather wrapped handles are even better quality materials now. I have the Chin up Attachment for the IM2000 but still use this for my private bootcamps. Its perfect when training groups of people. You aren't going to able to do kipping pullups like you can in Cross fit but slow and fast pull ups to get your back super pumped is easy with this stable accessory.

Just got it, and did a lot of research before diving into the Super Bench Pro system. The pull up bar seems sturdy and heavy duty. I didn't want a doorway pullup bar, they never feel right and make me nervous for the doorway. This feels much sturdier. I will say, there is a little bit of wobble from side to side for the bench. This might have to do with my bench being on carpet, but it's not that big of a deal. When your bodyweight is added, it feels solid. Can always put plates on the base if needed. Yes, inserting it when it's flat would be best, it's top heavy and can feel like a little workout just loading it onto the bench. Glad I went with the Pro with the updated attachment system. Go for it!

Love it! It's solid and easy to use! I've owned this attachment for several years, using it regularly. It works exactly like you would expect it to and I only experience a little bit of wobble on the last few reps. It's at those times where my form isn't at 100% but I can get there with a little inertia. At those times the balance of the super bench becomes off a little bit and some counterweight placed on the front feet of the bench eliminates the wobble.

Great Bar I bought this along with the Super Bench and Cable Tower and so far it's been great. I'm 5'10" and 205lbs and this thing is very solid and does not wobble or rock at all when I'm using it.
Thanks to Ironmaster I have an entire home gym that fits into a 5 foot by 4 foot section of my bedroom when put away (this includes weight plates and other accessories).

Works great and stable! I have used this attachment on my Super Bench for pull ups and chin ups. With proper form, this attachment is very sturdy and reliable. I love how it helps save on space and you can easily adjust its height for ceiling clearance.

A good solution if you have limited space I am really happy with the bench and the attachments. This , and the dip attachment work really well for me.I bought a tower to do P90x3 and it served me well( I have a review on it ), but it took up so much valuable space, that I took a leap of faith , sold it, and bought this instead. I'm now doing the elite block of P90x3 , and this thing works great.I have to be more careful with my form, compared to the huge tower, but you would really have to be kipping to make this thing tip over. The materials and construction are top notch...especially the welds.I'm not going to say that is its 100% perfect. I would much rather have a permanent bar hanging from the ceiling, but this is a pretty great solution for people who have limited space. Posted on Amazon.com

Pretty good, well made. A little wobble now and then, but overall I like it. I use it for P90x since there is no place I can put a door pull up bar. It has served me well. Very well built. Posted on Amazon.com

Very strong and high quality - concerns resolved! I will say that the Dumbells are very good quality (or so I thought) the handles are chrome dipped, and have begin chipping. I hope the pull up bar does not follow it's cousin! Posted on Amazon.com

chin up bar Bought this Chin Up Bar to go with the Ironmaster workout bench for my son. My son loves it. He's been wanting a sturdy chin up bar for a while now. We have tried the ones you attach to your door frame but they didn't work for him. This is a great product and would highly recommend it. Easy to assemble too. Posted on Amazon.com
