Ironmaster Olympic weight plates are steps above competitor substitutes featuring a durable rubber encasing that helps protect your home gym floor and other surfaces against the hard metal surface that other brands of Olympic plates have. In addition to added protection, the rubber coating helps minimize noise in your home gym while exercising. Our customers that exercise early in the morning love this feature as it helps keep them from being too loud while lifting and causing unwanted disturbances in the house, especially those with young children that they don't want to wake up. Each plate is embossed with the Ironmaster logo.
These plates have some natural rubber odor, as with all rubberized weights, however the odor is lower than most other brands. You should expect some smell if used in an enclosed space when new, but this will diminish over time as they are exposed to the air. Weight tolerance is +/- 3%.

My first rubber coated plates with stainless steel inserts. Much more ergonomic to use given the handles and tapered edge (where have you been all my life?). I have an ancient set of steel plates well worn with chips out of the black coating and some rust (had these for 25+ years). Of course those get the job done but using these is so much nicer, they almost need caressing...almost. The stainless inserts allow them to feed easier and quicker. The smell subsides over time.

Most likely the best Olympic plates in the market, slick design, super solid and well made. Make sure to pick a pair of each of the weights, you won't be disappointed!!

Really high quality weight plate at a good price. Very accurate. Only complaint would be overall diameter is slightly smaller than a normal Olympic plate. Not that big of a deal though. I would buy again.
