320 lb Olympic Set - Bar, Plates, Collars

This is a great set. I really like the weight plates and the handle grips down all the way to 10 pound plates that have handle grips I can do side laterals with them. You could even curl the 25 pounders with the grip handles seem very heavy duty I enjoy using them. I was surprised to get the upgraded bar with the black color. I wasn’t expecting that but happy that I got it. The only thing I’m worried about is I ordered the spotter stand and the bar is starting to scratch the black finish off and the spotter stand from Ironmasters Paint is all scraped off. I wish they would’ve put some kind of hard plastic down to protect the bar and the spotting arms.

The plates and bar exceeded my expectations, which were high. I also wanted a sqat rack for these but all Ironmaster has is the IM 2000. I settled on the Rogue S-1 squat rack with safety arms to go along with this bar and plate set. Everything is awesome. If Ironmaster had something to compete with the Rogue S-1 sqat stand I would likely have all Ironmaster.

I initially bought the super bench PRO with dip bar and crunch sit up attachment then the 75 lb. Quick-Lock dumbbell system in 2020. I was extremely happy with them. I completed my home gym by purchasing the 320 Olympic set on black Friday in November 2021. I was leaving the country to go on a 3 and a half week vacation early December, so I called requesting if it could be shipped asap so I could inspect it before my departure. Scott called the shipper himself and was able to expedite the order despite the holiday rush and the pandemic! You can't beat this kind of customer service. My gym is in one of the 3 bedrooms in my condo. The plates had a smell initially. I kept the window open at night and the smell was totally gone after a couple of weeks. The plates have an easy grip when handling them. The bar feels very smooth, the knurling is perfect and it is easy to slide plates over the sleeves. Both the bar and plates have a very solid feel and beautiful design. I shopped extensively over the last 2 years since the beginning of the pandemic and nothing could compare to Ironmaster products in terms of quality, functionality, aesthetics and price. I just ordered the new Quick-Lock ultimate training vest tonight 2 hours after receiving the email of its new launch and I can't wait to get it in order to step up my bodyweight workouts!

As per usual, Ironmaster has delivered a solid product that demonstrated great attention to detail.
The plates are all perfect and the sleeved center holes are tapered to allow smooth placement onto the bar. They also fit just right, tight enough to prevent movement when locked down, but there is enough clearance to make sliding the plates on and off the bar easy wit one hand.
The bar is magnificent...I like the satin black chrome bar...looks nice and the knurling and finish texture are just right...not too aggressive and not too lean. The bearing on the sleeves are ridiculously smooth...the offset weight of the included collars is enough to rotate the sleeve with a full plate on there. This is great for pulling exercises.
The smooth rotation of the bearing could be problematic if your wrists are not accustomed to it while doing bench presses. A stiffer bearing or bushing setup actually supports the wrist by making the bar difficult to twist/rotate, because you would have to rotate the plates or overcome some friction. In case of this bar, the torque needed to rotate the bar under load is minimal, so you must have solid wrist and grip control.

I've owned plates from competing brands and these are easily the best quality I've seen. Plates were packaged and shipped with great care, not even a ding on any of the seven boxes. The feel of the plates is fantastic, they are sleek with a perfect profile, and the built in grips make handling them so much easier. The plates measure a half inch smaller in diameter compared to your standard olympic plate, but that only really matters when you're pulling from the floor, and honestly who cares - an extra 1/2" deficit = more gains for you :)

This is the setup I purchase and hot damn, what a deal! Everything you need and the quality simply can't be matched. Plates are dead-on accurate! The bar is of high quality and will last a lifetime. I purchased 4 more 45s and another set of 10s and that is more than enough for me, you simply just can't go wrong with Iron Master!

I initially picked up up the Iron Master rubber dumbbells in April not knowing how long Covid would impact the gyms here in NYC. First thing that really impressed me was how good Ironmaster were with their shipping. Everything was shipped ~1 day after purchase and arrived 4-5 days later (and they shipped from West Coast to NYC). The dumbbells themselves were excellent. With covid continuing, I bit the bullet and purchased the 320 lb Olympic set with barbell. What drew me to these plates was the fact they are rubberized and I wouldn't feel terrible dropping them in my apartment.

Barbell Impressions: Barbell feels awesome and is rated to 1000 lbs. It's quite comfortable to bench with and has a decent knurling. Is it going to be as high quality as a Rogue bar? Likely not, but it's also cheaper and a great deal with the plates. Definitely useable and you won't need to upgrade unless you're an elite tier lifter looking for specialty bars.

Plate Impressions: The plates are exactly what I wanted. They have an initial odor out of the box, but this literally fades in 30-60 minutes. I live in a 1 BR apartment and do not notice the smell at all. Second aspect is that the handles on the plates make them so easy to move around and also enables you to do additional shoulder/tricep work.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these for a home gym. Ironmaster are also one of the few companies actually selling plate sets in these times, making the overall experience extremely smooth. I should also mention that the barbell and plates arrived at my place ~1 week after ordering. Again, amazing, efficient transport during a pandemic where other companies are taking months.

We picked this up in a mad dash to get some Olympic weights for the home. At first we were looking into the adjustable dumbbells and still are, but dipped our toes in first with this Ironmaster product. The rubberized weights are well above the build quality of the ones we used at our local 24 fitness and in our experience with their sent has been quite order-less which we saw as complaints with other rubberized weights brands and had concerns. We were glad that this was not an issue. I also personally love that the Olympic bar came with a black handle area, but that is mostly just an aesthetic. Can't wait to use this in combination with IM2000 SELF SPOTTING MACHINE once we are able to get our hands on one.
